Profile: Andrew Keenleyside

Andrew Keenleyside is an award winning painter and printmaker, who lives and works in the small town of Harpenden in Hertfordshire. His main subject matter is the local landscape and the changing seasons. His work and his approach to painting have been influenced by a number of artists: Pissarro and Sisley have influenced his subject matter, and his use of colour mirrors work by Henri Mattise and the Fauves. Andrew’s bold painterly approach is evident in the surface details of his canvases. He has said, "I try to capture the essence of a landscape and the visual memory that it leaves behind". Andrew has had a series of one-man shows in London, East Anglia and the home counties. His work also features in a number of local group  shows and exhibitions His work has been exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts in London, and it is also represented in private collections in the USA and Canada, the Far East, the UK and Europe.

Paintings are for sale and commissions can also be undertaken. Prices vary depending on size/frame etc (Prices range from  £75 to £850)
