A number of Andrew's recent paintings have been inspired by the changing colours of winter landscapes in and around the Hertfordshire town of Harpenden. The compositions include views of the 'Nickey Line', a disused railway line running from Harpenden to Hemel Hempstead. They also feature views of 'The Lee Valley Footpath' which runs through the Hertfordshire countryside from Harpenden towards Luton Hoo. The Heartwood Forest in Sandridge, also provides visual reference for some of his paintings.
